Artist Statement

Despite their snooty, prissy stereotype, standard poodles are the second most intelligent dog breed in the world. Although originally bred as water retrievers to assist duck hunters, the poodle has come to hold a different position today and is now known for its elegance and beauty. Whether you hate the poodle or love them, she's partying anyway, encouraging you to be yourself and have fun, no matter what the world may say. Painted onto a canvas with acrylic paints, she stands joyfully surrounded by colorful balloons and golden confetti. The pink poodle celebrates you and your journey through the party we call life. She invites you to celebrate with her at this stage of youth and adventure, as we navigate the highs and lows of college life.
