Mission Statement

The Scratch Post is a student-run arts and literature journal dedicated to publishing work produced by undergraduate students at the University of Kentucky. Established in 2024, the primary goals of the journal are to provide an opportunity for all undergraduate students, regardless of academic discipline, to share their works in creative writing and visual art; and to amplify diverse talents and voices across campus. The journal aims to celebrate and foster the role of creativity in academia and thoughtfully curate a collection of creative works to be enjoyed by the campus community as well as broader audiences.
